We focus mostly on renovations, and do a couple of new builds a year - so it offers great variety and learning for someone starting out in the industry. Summer work, full time work available

A great opportunity if you are interested in working outdoors and you are passionate about our environment. 

Riparian Development’s mission is to restore New Zealand’s waterways. We are on the hunt for someone committed to producing and maintaining effective and sustainable riparian margins.

Do you enjoy working outdoors and have an interest in protecting our natural environment? This role includes fencing, planting native trees, spraying and nursery work. You will be part of a team that delivers projects in a way that is efficient and that exceeds our client's expectations.

We are after someone young, efficient, who pays close attention to detail and has a keen interest in extending their horticultural knowledge. Prior experience is not necessary but if you are practically minded, physically fit, show initiative and common sense, this role might be for you.

Pact Steel Limited

We are very keen to have some young guys to learn a range of different skills and grow with our business.

Our business entails working with construction companies and supplying the steel structures for buildings, the process is below:

- Project issued to Pact from a client.

- Pact Steel carries out drawings for building.

- Pact Steel fabricate steel.

- Pact Steel sends steel to building site.

- Pact Steel installs steel onsite with cranes and lifting equipment.

- Site finishing paint touch-ups.

- Project complete.

Our install crews are trained Steel Erectors/Riggers.

The guys would need to be enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills, able to work in a team environment. We provide all necessary training and health and safety.

We are looking at a couple of guys to come on as Labourers and work closely with the experienced guys to learn to erect steel, rig steel, learn to weld onsite, and read drawings.

For the guys to be able to carry out any work onsite they will need to have a sitesafe passport that is carried out online and could be a good thing to do in class. This will open up the opportunities to go onto site for any trade work experience not just structural steel.

Connectaccess

I am a working at height maintenance company. We abseil buildings and work sites to complete work like washing, inspection, painting, and some roof painting in summer. This includes industrial, commercial and residential properties. The starting rate for a beginner is $25.00 per hour and we would possibly pay for training for the right person. Once they move up the levels, rates go up and once experienced they can go to Australia and make big money. There are lots of opportunity in this industry.
