HBHS has a world-class pool player in Year 9 student, Jack Beggs.

Over the July school holidays, the 34th Annual VNEA Junior World Pool Championships came to an end here in Sioux City, Iowa. Jack Beggs has had a very successful tournament at the U16 age level.

His results were:

Scotch pairs (with Sean, his little brother) at Under 16 level 🥇

Top Cats (Top Cat Challenge) - players who have come first and second in their age groups get put in a team and compete against each other to see who's the best of the best 🥇

Jack came away with four trophies and was named in the All Star team. He is set to compete in the World Under 17 Championships which are being held here in Hamilton during Winter Tournament Week. We wish him all the very best and look forward to hearing of his success.
