Entries are due Friday, 21st June.
The New Zealand Scholarship Examinations are the highest academic award in secondary education in Aotearoa and cover a wide range of subjects. Entries are now open for Year 13 students who wish to sit these examinations at the end of the year.
Who should be considering entering the Scholarship Examinations?
Any students who have been recognised as Academic Honours students, are completing an advanced learning programme or Scholarship class in a subject, received an Excellence endorsement for a Level 2 subject that they are now taking at Level 3, or who are currently working consistently at Excellence level in a subject.
What is the benefit?
Students receive a monetary award for success in Scholarship Examinations - starting at $500 for a single Scholarship pass, and $2000 for three years if you get 3 or more Scholarship passes. HBHS has an impressive record of achievement in these examinations.
How do students enter?
Students wishing to enter one or more examinations have been emailed information and an entry form earlier this term. Forms need to be completed and signed by the teacher of a selected subject to approve entry. Completed forms must be returned to the Dean of ALP (Ms Coursey) by Friday 21 June to guarantee entry.
