Argyle House Old Boys selected for New Zealand Māori All Blacks squad

Josh Moorby (left) and Rameka Poihipi were present on stage when former All Black, Māori All Black captain and current HBHS Board of Trustees member, Mr Arran Pene, announced the NZ Maori All Blacks squad live in the HBHS hall.

Also present on stage was the Head Coach, Clayton McMillan, who has a son, Ari, in Year 9 at Argyle House. Josh, Rameka and Clayton answered questions from the floor from various students.

The NZ Māori All Blacks play two games against Ireland on Wednesday 29th June in Hamilton and Tuesday 12th July in Wellington.

Such a proud moment for the school, and Hostel, to have two of our Old Boys in this team. Josh and Rameka both finished their time in the Hostel and school in 2016. That year they toured the UK with the 1st XV, were members of the 1st XV that placed 3rd in NZ at the Top 4 NZSS finals, were both in the teams that won the NZSS Condor Sevens final and the NZSS Touch championship final. Great to have them both back.
