Matthew Allen Cup: Indoor Rowing 2022

Sutherland won the Indoor Rowing Competition by 76 metres on the 4th of August, powering ahead in the House Competition.

As is the case with all of our house competitions, Bennett and Sutherland compete against each other to claim the Lake Shield at the end of the year. Each house must have ten rowers per team. They must have two rowers from each year level. Eight rowers complete 250m each & two need to complete 500m each reaching a final distance of 3000m.

The two teams are shown below.

 Bennett Rowers:

Toby Higgins, Nikau Collins, Aaron Dingle, Alexander Brown, Jesse Kara, Rhys Laker, Flynn Pierce, Matthew Le Gallais, Jackson Murphy and Breyton Legge

  Sutherland Rowers:

Thomas Foote, Francois Van den Berg, Jack Ramsey, Liam Van Der Heyden, Lachlan Douglas, Jack Patterson, Johno O'Brien, Ben Parker, Jaden Unasa and Josh Syme

Each house must row in order of age group which meant that our Year 9 students got the race underway. Toby Higgins and Thomas Foote stepped up for Bennett and Sutherland respectively.
