Student of the Week: Hohaia Keogh (Term 2 Week 6)

Introducing our school's 'Student of the Week' for Term 2 Week 6, Hohaia Keogh.

Hohaia is a Year 12 student at HBHS who, through his contributions to the school and wider community, is an excellent example of leadership amongst his peers.

At the start of this year, Hohaia was named as our school's Captain of Ngā Māngai for his contributions to the Māori and Pasifika community of our school.  He has carried on his good work into 2021, with a prime example of his good work being his organisation and running of the Ngā Māngai Homework Centre.

Hohaia is a proven all-rounder inside and outside of the classroom.  He is a Senior Leader in our school's Kapa Haka Group, Te Maurea Whiritoi (who recently placed third in their Super 8 competition), he will be playing a principal role this year in the combined HGHS and HBHS School Production, and he also plays rugby for the school's Senior Black team as a lock and loose forward.  What a busy guy!

Thank you, Hohaia, for all of your contributions to our school community and the wider community.
