HBHS wins Waikato Secondary Schools Squash Competition

Teacher in Charge of Squash, Mr Simon Devitt, reports on our team's recent victory.

On Thursday the 10th and 17th of June we had 21 students competing in the Waikato Secondary School Individuals and Teams events hosted at the Lugton Park and Hamilton Squash and Tennis Clubs courts.  The boys all carried themselves admirably, winning various divisions and upholding the values of fair play and a competitive spirit. We had the full gamut of lower and higher graded players competing.  The standout result was for our HBHS Alpha Team who ended up winning the three man teams event. This was the result of some hard-fought battles against our HBHS Bravo, Matamata College and Hillcrest High School teams.  Well done to Connor Hill, Liam Coombes and Cody Paul on winning back the trophy that we last held in 2014.
