Staff versus Prefects Football Match 2022

The "‘Tucks Trophy’" was played for in great spirits to end Term 3 with Mr Andrew Tucker, the retired Head of the HBHS Science Faculty  with over 35 years experience of coaching secondary school football teams, there to present the trophy to the still-undefeated Staff team. In a 0-0 draw, the students thought they had a goal, but referee Mr Hay had blown for a foul before it went in from Nicholas Wood. The staff also had their chances after great tackling from Matua West, Mr Dodunski, Mr Marrow and Mr Scott, but Mr Teokotai-White, Mr McCarthy and Student Teacher Tyler Ericksen couldn’t find the target to break the deadlock. With a draw, and the staff not losing, they keep their hands on the Tucks Trophy for yet another year. Hard luck students, but good luck for your sporting futures next year!
