The HBHS Honours Awards are a tradition which acknowledges the hard work and dedication of our top athletes who have been able to excel in their chosen code.

Over the years these awards have developed in order to appreciate students in a wider range of code with Honours Awards now available to be earned across a range of sports for top placings in a New Zealand Secondary Schools Championship or selection to the highest possible National team available in an affiliated New Zealand Secondary School Sport.

First Team Game Badges:

🏀 First Team Badge for 30 games for the Senior Premier Basketball Team to Cole Goodson, Hemi Neale, Jamie Sosa, Te Tatau Strother, and Samuel Walker.

🏏 First Team Badge for 20 games for the 1st XI Cricket Team to Tom Martin, Logan McKay, Ewald Schreuder, and Christopher Seel.

A variation to the school Honours Cap was introduced in order to recognise outstanding achievements outside of our major codes. These are awarded to students who represent their sport nationally at the highest level available to a secondary school student.
