Champions! Our Condor Sevens winning team celebrates their record win by Condor 7s 2022

HBHS wins New Zealand Secondary Schools' National Condor Sevens Champions

After going through their two-day tournament undefeated in all six games, played at King's College, Auckland on Saturday 3rd, and Sunday 5th December, beating Kelston BHS 22-21 in the final.

Congratulations to the six boarders from Argyle House in the team: Liam Anderson (Year 13), Rangiwai Lunjevich (Year 12), Oli Mathis (Year 12), Wyndham Patuawa (Year 12), Dallas Rata-Makene (Year 11) and Mac Russ (Year 12).

A huge congratulations to Dallas, for scoring the try that won the match in the final play of the game, after receiving a pass from Oli who had just completed a 40m run down the sideline before cutting in to the middle of the field to offload his pass. Not good for the faint-hearted! A great team result, after digging deep to come back from 14-0 down against Kelston Boys' High School to win 22-21.

This is the 7th consecutive year Hamilton Boys' High School have won this tournament and their 8th title overall. (The tournament wasn't held in December 2021 due to COVID restrictions).

Hamilton Boys' High School is the school with the most Condor Sevens victories and is the most successful school since Condors started in 1986.

Congratulations to Oli Mathis and Liam Anderson who both made the Tournament Team.
