Connor Cloete reports on the North versus South Football match played earlier this year.

In Term 4 of 2022, trials took place for the NZSS Football teams. After these trials, three HBHS students were invited to participate in the NZSS Boys' Football Representative Programme.

The programme stretched over two days with Thursday, 26 January, used for conditioning and training. On Friday 27 January the North and South teams, both Under 16 and Under 19 age groups, went head to head at Seddon Fields, Western Springs, Auckland. The game took place in torrential rain with wind gusts up to 80 km per hour and tested players, coaches and selectors.
