Liam Davis and John Anderson show off their skills! by Wendy Moffitt

John Anderson and Liam Davis selected for the Steven Adams Invitational Tournament

Congratulations to our two basketball stars on this honour.

Year 13 Senior Premier Basketball team members John Anderson and Liam Davis will head to Auckland in December, from the 16th to the 20th, to take part in the Steven Adams Invitational Tournament, held at Mount Albert Grammar School.  This tournament brings together the 20 of the best secondary school-boy-and-girl players from around the country for four days of intensive workshops and coaching sessions with some of the top coaches in New Zealand.  Past athletes and overseas players involved in the U.S. College system also present their insights to educate the up-and-coming basketballers on what they need to do to make it to the very top.  The tournament culminates in a showcase game, giving the players a chance to shine and show off all that they have learned.  Due to team commitments in the NBA, Steven Adams won't be there in person, but he will Zoom in, giving the participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in a Q & A session with one of the game's absolute legends.

Congratulations once again to John and Liam on being selected, and we wish them all the very best as they launch their basketball careers.
