Counties Cross Country: We were super proud of these speedy runners making it through to the County Cross Country on Tuesday - William of Rm 7, Jack, Will, Lily and Bailey of Rm 8, Charlie, Elvis Grace and Iulio of Rm 9, Cohen of Rm 10, Trace and Kaiden of Rm 11.  They showed fantastic determination and were great sports.  William placed 4th in his event and now has the opportunity to compete in the Canterbury Zone Cross Country.  

Emporers New Clothes: The children were so excited to finally be able to watch a live performance at school again.  

EPro8 Competition: The senior classes had a chance to be involved in the school competition using the Kits this year.  From this, one team will go on to compete against other Year 5-6 teams in the region. 

Samoan Language Week: Talofa Lava!  We had a fun day today acknowledging the Samoan language and culture.   

Matariki Night: Monday 20 June 5-7pm.  Our wonderful Board of Trustee members will be cooking up free sausages for everyone and our lovely PTA will be serving up Hot chocolate to keep everyone warm.  Dress up warm (Sparkly star theme optional) and join us for a fun and interactive night.  

Board of Trustees Information Evening:  The date for this has changed to Wednesday 22 June at 5.30pm.  Come along and join our Board of Trustees for some supper in the Staffroom and find out more about how our Board works.  All welcome. 

Te Reo: Aroha = compassion, tenderness, sustaining love.  Manaakitanga = respect for hosts or kindness to guests, to entertain, to look.

Student of the Week: We acknowledged Samuel of Rm 14 is hardworking and always gives his best. Compliant, helpful and kind to others and is respectful at all times. He gives everything a go.  Ka Pai Samuel! 

Support Staff Week: Next week is Support Staff week.  We are very fortunate to have Amazing support staff in our school that support our students and our school to be the very best we can be.  So much work happens behind the scenes that makes a huge difference and this week is our chance to say a massive THANK YOU!  

Meetings: Our next Board of Trustees meeting is on Wednesday 22 June at 6.30pm (following the Information evening at 5.30pm) in the Staffroom. Please note change of date. Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday 2 August at 6.30pm in the Staffroom. All Welcome

Paid Union Meeting: Teachers will attend a Paid Union Meeting on the afternoon of Friday 17 June.  School will finish at 12:30pm on this day and children will bring their Kai for Kids home with them.
