Newsletter Week 9, Term 2
Kia Ora e te Whanau. Many thanks to those of you who have provided us with feedback via our Whanau Survey. If you haven't had a chance yet, there is still time. The link to the survey has been emailed and is contained in Class Dojo. Paper copies are available through the office also. Please get in touch if you would like the link sent to you.
EPro8 Competition: Our senior students enjoyed experimenting with the EPro8 kits at school. We have a team going on to compete in the Year 5/6 competition at Ashburton Intermediate on Thursday 7 April. Congratulations Jack, Lucas, Cohen and Alex. We wish you well for the competition.
School Council: Today our School Council members received their name badges in Assembly. These students are selected representatives from Year 3-6. They help to provide student voice and feedback within our school. They also carry out a range of duties throughout the year and act as School Ambassadors when we have visitors to school. Well done Silao, Bailey, Libby, Anabela, Elmarie, Ashton, William B, Mia and Tise.
School Board Parent Election 2022 - Nomination round
Our school will be undertaking a parent election for 5 School Board vacancies. This process will start with the issuing of nomination papers to our caregiver community by Friday 15th July 2022.
We have employed CES to undertake the election process on our behalf. This year with legislative change, our nomination form and full instruction on how to place your nomination into our own School’s Election website will be emailed to you if we have your email address in our database or you will receive it by post if we don’t have your email in our database.Nomination papers will also be available at the school office. The school will send those on to CES for processing upon receipt from candidates.
Nominations close on Wednesday 3rd August at 12 noon. Election day is Wednesday 7th September. We look forward to your participation in this process.

Student of the Week: Colton of Room 3 has been working so hard in his reading and working hard on remembering his sounds. He is so proud of himself when he remembers learning from prior lessons. I can really tell he is engaging with the learning and enjoying the style of learning. Ka Pai Colton.
