Kia ora, Talofa, Mālō e Lelei, Kia orana, Bula, Nǐ hǎo, Kon'nichiwa, salam, dia duit, namaste, Sata srī akāla, Ete sen 👋Our school was a beautiful sea of colour on Friday with everyone dressing to represent their culture. We were treated to some amazing dances too. It was really special celebrating how diverse and inclusive our school community is.

Counties Cross Country: A BIG congratulations to our amazing Hampstead students Chloe, Will, Lindsay & Ashton. They ran their hardest on Friday in the County Cross Country. They made us SO proud and should be very proud of themselves. Well done, such an amazing achievement.

Heartland Music Festival: Our choir have been working hard with the support of Miss Hensman and Mrs Corcoran for performance night, which is on Thursday 12 June at 7.30pm at the Ashburton Events Centre. Tickets can be purchased from the venue or online via the following link. We can't wait to see them on stage. https://asheventcentre.co.nz/event/heartland-bank-music-festival-2025/

Upcoming Teacher Only Day (3 June): We are joining many other schools in our Kahui Ako on Tuesday 3 June (The day after Kings Birthday long weekend) to complete our Professional Development on the new Maths Curriculum.

Student of the Week: Purotu (Rm 10) is a positive, caring and responsible member of Room 10. She takes pride in herself, her work and our school. Purotu is an excellent role model and always puts in her best effort with every task and can work collaboratively with anyone in the class. She loves contributing her ideas and even shares extra learning she has completed at home. She is a super helpful and valued member of our class and can always be relied upon. Room 10 is lucky to have you Purotu! Lacey (Rm 1) has had a brilliant start to school at Hampstead! She is only five years old, but she already knows how to look after herself and her things really well. Lacey comes to school every day with a big smile and is always ready to learn. She tries her best in everything she does and has already made some great progress. We are so proud of how hard she works and how much she enjoys learning. In the classroom, Lacey is a super helper for Mrs. Grieve and is happy to help when someone needs a hand. Lacey is a lovely friend too – she is kind, caring, and makes sure everyone feels happy and included. Lacey, we are so lucky to have you at Hampstead School. Keep being your wonderful self – you’re amazing!
