Newsletter: Week 3, Term 2
Friday 20 May 2022
Covid Response Update: We have really enjoyed less restrictions under the Orange light settings this term. We continue to receive notifications of students isolating and testing Covid positive. To date, we have had a total of 166 students and staff test positive for Covid. This is around 40% of our students and 80% of our staff. We maintain our hygiene and ventilation protocols to reduce transmission inside.
Kapa Haka: The Year 4-6 children have loved being able to come together for Kapa Haka again on Wednesday afternoons. We really appreciate the hard work and dedication Koka Bernie puts into this to provide this opportunity for our Tamariki.
Board of Trustees Information Evening: Wednesday 16 June from 5.30pm. Come along and have a chat to our Board members and find out more about what the Board of Trustees do. We have our triennial elections coming up in September this year.
Student of the Week: George of Room 15 brightens up the classroom by bringing fun into all areas of learning. He is inquisitive and attentive while learning new topics and actively participates during class and group discussions. George works fantastically in a team and cares for his friends and classmates. Ka rawe George!
Meetings: Our next Board of Trustees meeting is on Wednesday 16 June at 6.30pm (following the Information evening at 5.30pm) in the Staffroom. All Welcome. Our next PTA meeting will be in Term 3, the date to be advised.

Bullying-Free Week
Room 5 have been busy spreading kindness and happiness throughout the school. We made love hearts that had positive messages on them and delivered them to other children and teachers. We also made some kindness awards. It was hard as we wished we could have given one to every single person at school.
Doing this kind of activity filled our buckets! We are sure it filled their buckets too!
