Claudine Campbell - July 26, 2023

Welcome home and Congratulations Jen: We are so happy to Miss Martin (now Mrs Williams) home from Scotland.  She has a nice new sparkly ring on her finger and shared some beautiful photos with us.  We wish her and Joseph a very happy future together.

Thanks for supporting our Tamariki at school: It was great to see many whanau at Learning Conferences and our Celebration of Learning evening. This all helps strengthen the partnership between home, school and our community.  If you weren't able to get to either of these, you are always welcome to come and have a chat with our teachers anytime.  There are loads more photos on our Facebook page.

Our new Learning Support Building: You will have seen the progress as the building nears completion.  Our specialist teachers and Learning Support Coordinator are now working in this space and we will have an official opening later in the year once the final touches are finished and the grass has grown.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALE: Mrs Kilgour has kindly offered to sell any of our uncollected and unnamed (washed) uniforms.  Everything $5.  On Wednesday next week (2nd August), this will be available in the Hall 12.30-1.30pm.  There are still some jackets in lost property between Rm 6 and 7.  If you child is missing theirs. please take a look.

Parking at School: Please remember our carpark is for staff only.  We have several professionals that also park in here that meet in our Learning Support space.  Police do regular checks of any cars on yellow lines, over driveways or on bus stops.  We appreciate your consideration of others safety.

Students of the Week: Last week we celebrated Tahmal of Rm 7. Tahmal is a wonderful student to have in Room 7. Her kind, down to earth personality encourages and supports all her peers on a daily basis. She is a diligent worker who aims to exceed all expectations set for her, no matter how big or small. Tahmal never fails to do the right thing. To top it all off she represents Hampstead School with pride and is a superb role model for our junior school. We are so very lucky to have her in Room 7. Ka pai Tahmal! This week we acknowledged Doulton of Rm 1. Doulton is a polite, happy and friendly boy in Room 1. He likes to take on responsibility and listens carefully at all times. He never lets Miss Martin or Mrs Cochrane forget anything. He is conscientious in all that he does and is now showing pride in his work. He is curious about all of his learning and loves asking interesting questions. We love his enthusiasm he shows during Maths time. He demonstrates Hampstead's values everyday and is a great role model to his peers. We are very lucky to have Doulton in Room 1.
