Kia ora Whanau. We were really pleased to be able to remain open last Thursday during the heavy rain. Apart from surface flooding, we had no leaks or disruptions to our day. In the event of a school closure or emergency, caregivers will be notified through HERO. Please ensure you are signed up to HERO to receive these updates. If you need help signing up, please talk to your child's teacher or call into the office and we can help.
Whole school Production - Save the Date: In term three classes will all be contributing to a schoolwide production which we will perform at the Events Centre on Friday 12 September. There will be a daytime and an evening performance. More information to come, but at this stage please save the date.
Class Photo orders:
Heritage Productions visited our school recently to take our annual school photos. An order card has been produced for each child present on the day of the photo session. The order card contains the following information:
To place a photo order please either scan the QR code or visit their website listed on the order card. Their website contains all the information on pack sizes and pricing. Payments are online via credit or debit card. Orders for FREE delivery to school close on 18 May 2025 at midnight. Orders placed after this date will be posted and shipping applies. You will receive an order confirmation by email. |
Whole School Cross Country:
Ministry of Education Parent Portal: The Minister of Education announced the launch of a new portal where you can find up-to-date information on the new curriculum and what this will look like for your child at school. We will send home some information ahead of our mid year reporting shortly. The link is:

Cultural Hauora Afternoon: This was such a positive experience for everyone. Thank you to our cultural ambassadors and Miss Rossellini for planning and running all of the fun activities and to Percy and the team from Tangata Atumotu Trust who came along and supported us too. It was great seeing so many smiles as buddy classes supported each other in learning new games, dances, songs and activities.
Student of the Week: Riley (Rm 2) is a kind, caring and friendly member of Room 2. He is hardworking and always willing to do his best within all areas of learning. Riley is polite and willing to help everyone in our classroom. Riley, we are so lucky to have you in Room 2. Keep up the amazing work! Hadia (Rm 9) is a polite, kind, and valued member of Room 9. She is responsible, hardworking, and approaches her classroom jobs with dedication and care. Hadia takes great pride in her work, consistently presenting it beautifully and always striving to do her very best. She is a wonderful friend who ensures everyone feels included. Hadia listens and follows classroom expectations with ease, making her an excellent role model for her peers. We are so lucky to have you in Room 9!
