Whole School Dodgeball Event
Rheanna Scoullar - May 29, 2024
They organised the rules, created a video to show the other classes how to play the game, set up the courts and ran the whole event. They did a fantastic job and showed awesome leadership! Thank you to Juliet, Nezaya, Lewis, Ben B. They have written an article below to explain the event.
Kia ora koutou. On the 24th of May, the whole school participated in dodgeball on the school courts. We started with a Year Six vs all staff game and Lewis, a year six, was the referee. The year sixes won unsurprisingly. The teachers say they let the year sixes win but that is not true. After that we split into two different courts. The classes had eight children from each class participate. Two people on each team to compete. Lewis refereed to the first court and Juliet refereed the second court while Nezaya took the photos, and Ben B was unfortunately unwell so he couldn’t participate in this event, he worked on the rules and helped organise the event. We have interviewed some people and here's what they had to say: Patrick H enjoyed the friendly competition. Kiana said she likes throwing and catching the balls at the teachers. Lewis H enjoyed refereeing. He said he would do it again and hopefully we can do something similar some time soon. No reira, tena koutou, tena koutou, tena tatou katoa.
