Harakeke Record of Achievement and Development (ROAD) folders
We are moving to sharing ROAD folder samples electronically
Harakeke Record of Achievement and Development (ROAD) Folders are shared on Seesaw this year, instead of as a hard copy as in previous years. Due to this, ROAD folder items will be shared with whānau throughout the year, rather than only at the end of Terms Two and Four. Our reason for making this change is in order to provide whānau with the most up to date information possible about your child’s learning. It also allows us to share learning using photos, video and sound.
In the future this is how our ROAD samples will be shared across the school.
These folders contain samples of your child’s work across several learning areas, with a caption explaining the curriculum area and learning intention, and a teacher comment related to the learning to show progress, achievement, or feedback on next steps. It would be great if families could spend some time looking at these posts with their children, making comments where possible, in order to celebrate their learning.
Please click on this link to see how to access your child’s ROAD folder samples. Follow the instructions, and select ROAD folder. There will already be samples there from Term One and Two this year, and there will soon be more samples coming.
If you would like to download your child’s Seesaw Journal as a zip file, click on this link for instructions. This could be a good option for the end of the year, so that you can keep a record of your child’s journal posts from year to year.
Please email Erin (gribblee@harewood.school.nz) if you have any questions about this.
