We love celebrating the lives of our children; their passions and interests.
Attached is a pic of our Harewood School Y3/4 basketball team for this term. For some of the tamariki, this was their first turn at basketball, and in the course of the 6 weeks they learnt very quickly and were just amazing. We won some great games, learnt lots of the basics of basketball, dribbling, passing, space, shooting, penalty shots, and defence. Our tamariki worked so well together as a whole team effort and included every player in every game. It was lovely to see the experienced tamariki sharing the ball with the kids that were new to basketball and helping them to grow their skills. Our parents are all very proud of our basketball season and we look forward to term 4! By Hilary Pheloung.
