Triathlon Champs Do Us Proud

Seven of our Year 5 & 6 students proudly represented Harewood School at the Canterbury Triathlon on the 25 February.

It as a challenging competitive course: a 100 metre swim, a 7km bike ride, followed then by a 2km run. Our children well and truly made their mark with our top girl coming in 8th for her age group and our top boy coming in 11th. All our Harewood children were placed in the top 70.

The feedback we got from the seven competitors was wide-ranging. Here are some quickfire statements from them:

"It was extreme and intense!"

"So disgusting (the pond weed) but heaps of fun!"

"Great training for Iron Man!"

"Extraordinary, really pushed my physical limits!"

"Amazing. I had a great sense of personal achievement!"

"It was an awesome challenge!"

"I am so proud of myself with the swimming. I didn't realise how well I would do."

"It was incredible but wow... so much weed!"

A big congratulations to Zara, Cooper, Mckenna, Arabella, Jack, Thomas and Arthur. We are so proud of you all.
