The use of digital devices in our classrooms is a daily event.
Cyber Safety
Harewood School strives to keep tamariki safe when using the Internet and other communication technologies. To this end, all tamariki need to have signed permission to use the internet and other information technology at school. Their responsibilities will be discussed at school, and we would appreciate it if you could discuss it again with them at home to ensure they understand fully.
This signed permission is redone in year 4 by students and parents.
tamariki’s photos may appear from time to time in our newsletter or on our school website. We only use first names with photos in publications. If you do not wish your tamariki’s photo to be used in this way please indicate this in the appropriate place on the enrolment form.
BYOD
Bring your own Device (BYOD) was implemented in 2017 for year 5 and 6 tamariki and is optional for these tamariki. An information sheet is available at the office which explains this in more detail and is included in any year 5 and 6 enrolment packs.
