During the first weekend of the school holidays, four Heaton biking enthusiasts took part in the 2018 National School Road Championships. The event comprised of three competition days:

• Team Time Trial
• Road Race
• Points Race

The 51st edition of the National School Road Championships saw 601 riders from 100 schools flock to Christchurch, the first time ever this event has been staged in the South Island.

We would like to thank our parents/caregivers for their support in providing this fantastic opportunity for Jake (Rm 5), Bevan (Rm 3), and Luca (Rm 1). We would also like to recognise the efforts and Michelle for managing the team and Gary for sharing his expertise with our riders.
