A fantastic end to a year of hard work and application.

The Heaton Hawks are the 2016 South Island Intermediate Basketball Champions. The team totally dominated the 2nd day of the South Island Invitational Tournament to win the title with 1 game in hand. No team scored within 15 points of them and most never scored in double figures. This result was the culmination of over 50 team training sessions and countless hours of personal practice this year alone. It is proof of the boys constant desire to play better basketball, set goals and achieve them.
