On the 20th of August, 18 skiers from Heaton made their way to Mt Cheeseman for the annual Canterbury P and I Ski Races. This year Heaton entered two teams, the 'Heaton Hype' and the 'Heaton Havoc'. The Heaton Hype was a novice team made up of first time races while the Heaton Havoc consisted of more experienced racers and skiers and some novice races too. Both teams did very well and the Heaton Havoc came away with a very commendable 3rd place. ​

There were some standout individual perfromances especially Zara (Room 14) coming first out of the intermediate aged girls (and she beat all the boys too​). Everyone had fun on the day and the Year 7s are looking forward to next year. Thanks to Mrs Smeele for organising us.
