Heaton Mixed and Girls' Hockey teams take the title!

We are extremely proud of our four Heaton teams who took part in the annual CAIMS Rugby 7’s and 11-a-side Hockey Tournament. With two mixed hockey teams, one girls hockey team and a boys 7’s team our school was very well represented.

We would like to express our gratitude to our amazing teacher and parent coaches who helped provide this opportunity for our athletes. A huge thank you to Miss Clarkson, Jane Boyle, Mrs. Dore and Mrs. Newton for their fantastic efforts.

It was a beautiful sunny day at Nunweek Park and a great culmination of the winter sports season. A special congratulations must go out to our Heaton Mixed Hockey team who finished first overall (defeating Carebrook Red 3-1 in the final) and our Heaton Girls’ Hockey team who finished equal first overall (drawing with Rangi 1-1 in the final).
