On Wednesday 18th September the Kakano Mano Cultural Leaders and Heaton Ambassadors held a shared cultural lunch in the Hall. About 30 students, parents and teachers came with plates of food from other countries. Chinese dumplings, Japanese miso soup, Chilean empanadas, Indian Diwali sweets, Korean Chapchae, and English cheeses were just some of the mouthwatering dishes brought along. After a welcome and introduction by the Cultural leaders, Heaton Ambassadors and Sarah Cumming we enjoyed a wonderful international meal.

Students and staff come from over 30 different cultural backgrounds at Heaton. We really value the ethnic diversity we have here our school as it enriches the knowledge and experience of everyone here. Thank you to everyone who helped with this delicious event. :)
