Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 40 Hour Famine this year. Every year I am blown away by the commitment and contributions that Heaton students make to the 40 Hour Famine. This year we held a non-school uniform day and participated individually and in teams over the weekend. They set impressive and creative challenges and stuck to them. Some of the students' challenges this year were running 40km, eating only plain simple food items, no furniture, no technology, and even no talking! Many students combined challenges.

The aim for everyone involved was to raise funds for children and families in Malawi. The funds raised will bring life-changing clean water to kids like Madalitso in Malawi and give communities the tools to keep clean water flowing for years to come. Heaton should be very proud of the contributions it has made.

I am very proud to announce that this year Heaton raised $8196.60! This is an incredible accomplishment that will be put to great use.
