An update on the Peforming Arts at Heaton 

Orchestra: Auditons have been completed and a list of students has been posted in the school notices and on the PAC notice borad. Orchestra starts this Wednesday 22nd February.

Chorale: auditions have also been completed for the Chorale. Students need to be at the PAC at 11:45am on Friday

Choir:  Next week is our last trial week for choir then students will need to sign up. Anyone is welcome to come along. We rehearse at 12:05pm in the PAC

Dance groups:  There are two different dance groups starting up in the next week. Students need to check the notices for any auditions or forms to be filled out

Rock Band:   Many talented students have audtioned.  Students will be notified in the next week about groups.

Up coming things to watch out for:

• Production auditions will be happening soon.
  
• Ukulele group for anyone who can play or who wants to learn- watch the notices.
  
• A chance to sing with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra is advertised on our school Ngā Toi website. Entries must be in by the 1st of March. https://sites.google.com/heaton.school.nz/ngatoioheaton/home
• Song writers there is a Hook Line and Sing along competition where you can enter your song to win a recording session. Come and see Mrs Hill for details.
  
• Trip to see the NZ Opera at STAC for choir students in March.
