Elmwood House at Quail Island

Jenny Halligan —

On the 10th of March, Elmwood House went to Quail Island for our second activity day. In the morning we bused to Lyttelton and then got on the ferry and headed off towards the island. When we arrived we started our journey and soon stopped at a hut to eat some morning tea and take some house photos.

We walked for a few hours, occasionally stopping to admire the landscapes and read the signs that told you about the island. We even saw the shipwrecks and Ivon Skelton’s grave.

Later we stopped to have some lunch by the beach, play some games and go swimming. Some people even went off in small groups to see the dog house, before heading back to the dock.

We all had a great day, made some new friends and fantastic memories.
