On Wednesday, during week 4, Mrs Mundy organised a cultural lunch in the hall with help from Mrs Cumming and all of the Kakano Mano Cultural Leaders and Cultural Ambassadors.

We decided to hold a shared cultural lunch to celebrate diversity and have fun while tasting different foods from all over the world. About 70 people came to the shared lunch including students, staff, and parents who brought a plate. We enjoyed all the wonderful food everybody brought such as waffles from Canada, bachimille from Egypt and kimchi from Korea. The list goes on and on! 

We decorated the hall with flags from different countries across the whole hall. We also got to witness various traditional clothes from a number of diverse countries. All the cultural ambassadors and leaders introduced themselves in English and then in their home language. This lunch was such a success, that I am excited for the next cultural event!
