Kapa haka performances - te wiki o Te Reo/Maori language week.

Boss Phanpho —

To celebrate te wiki o Te Reo/Maori language week, our kapa haka took part in a number of performances. It began with a performance of 'Toro Mai' on the kids TV show 'What Now', which aired live on TV2 on Sunday 11 September and culminated with an intimate performance for our whānau in the performing arts centre on the evening of Tāite/Thursday 15 September.

Sandwiched between these two events was a performance at the Christchurch Art Gallery. In total, a kete of 32 waiata, waiata-ā-ringa and hakas were performed by our rōpū. Kei runga noa atu koutou - they were awesome!

This was a great experience for our tamariki to finally share their talents with our whānau and wider community and celebrate the mahi they have been putting in behind the scenes over a number of weeks. Kei runga noa atu koutou! — you're all awesome!
