Next year in February Heaton is offering a cycle safety programme for the first time. This is in response to the number of children who are now choosing to cycle to school instead of scootering or walking. One aspect of this programme is a focus on safe cycle routes to school.

The programme runs in conjunction with Christchurch City Council and it focuses on cycling between school and home and offers students the opportunity to practise cycling their own route with cycle instructors. This part of the programme is an opt-in for year 7/8 students. Please sign your child up as soon as possible so we can secure this awesome programme for our tamariki.
