Special Assessment Conditions for Neurodiverse Learners

At Heaton, we aim to identify neurodiverse learners who will benefit from accessing Special Assessment Conditions (S.A.C).

Throughout their time at Heaton, neurodiverse learners will have the opportunity to experiment and gain confidence in using their preferred S.A.C. well before entering secondary school.

SAC allows a neurodiverse student to receive support from a reader, a writer, extra time or the use of a device. Therefore, removing any anxiety, frustration and stress
If you would like your child considered for S.A.C.'s during Heaton assessments, please identify this with your child's class teacher.
