As the end of term approached, excitement buzzed through the air as the Heaton chess tournament was about to begin. Many people flocked to the hall with most players playing up to 8 games. There were some brilliant moves played and many checkmates occurred. 

Diaa Rm11 took the Year 7 title for the and Alex Rm9 was the Year 8 champion of the year 8s. This was an amazing way to end the term. We will look forward to another chess tournament this term so keep an eye on the notices. Thank you everyone for making the tournament so fun.
