Heaton students entertained!

Sarah Cumming —

Last Tuesday 19th June we were lucky to be entertained by Poetry in Action.

Students were entertained by The Poet's Quest, a time-travelling journey into the world of the bumbling Blake Williams. Here, we saw first hand, how poetry could help him win back his muse, Virginia and save the world!

We loved the energy of the actors and enjoyed hearing about their lives as performers. Another take away from this performance was about the importance of language and how it can transform our ability to communicate effectively, especially when romance is on the line!

Finally, for all our Heaton writers, I encourage you to submit your poems into the Poetry in Action Poetry Competition. It would be wonderful to see our talent shared throughout Australasia.
