Ryan, Room 4: From the 8th-10th of July, Ryan entered the U13s in the South Island Junior Age Group Squash Championships in Oamaru. Ryan played three games, winning the first, losing the second, and winning the final match. Ryan finished in 3rd place overall, and was the recipient of a medal. This now means that Ryan is ranked second in the South Island.

Caitlin, Room 4: Caitlin also competed in the South Island Junior Age Group Championships, finishing in 3rd place. The top two female players were from the North Island, making Caitlin the South Island number one competitor.

Tessa, Room 14 won the nomination at the NZSD (New Zealand School of Dance) winter school. Every year in the winter school holidays, the national ballet school in Wellington NZSD run a winter school where many hundreds of ballet dancers from around New Zealand learn from the country’s best ballet teachers for one week. Each teacher chooses their top three students, then whoever wins the most teacher nominations wins their age category. Tessa won, and she was the youngest dancer in her Senior One category. She was given a scholarship for free admission to the 2018 NZSD winter school.
