In early October, Room 5 student Xavier competed at the NZ Nationals Gymnastics in Tauranga, placing 8th overall in Men's Artistic Gymnastics Level 5.

During the term break, Xavier and his teammates finished 2nd overall in NZ. Xavier's outstanding effort at the competition  ensured an opportunity to trial for the NZ 360 squad. If selected for this squad, Xavier will have the opportunity to train with the best of the best including top NZ coaches.

On the first day of the competition, Xavier was placed 8th on floor exercises, 3rd on the vault, and 5th on the parallel bars. 

Xavier received a high score of 11.567 on the vault on the second day, resulting in his overall 8th placing, as mentioned. Congratulations, Xavier!
