CHRISTCHURCH AVON ATHLETICS CLUB – Junior Section

We are a well organised, friendly Junior Athletics Club – catering for children of all abilities in the 5-14yr age groups.

Club nights are Wednesdays 5pm -6.45pm (5/6yrs finish by 6.30pm) – at Burnside High School.

First Club night for the 2023/2024 season is Wednesday 11th October.

Saturday Inter-Club Competition at Nga Puna Wai all-weather track is available and top-quality coaching is provided.

REGISTRATION DAYFOR ALL NEW MEMBERS:

DATE: Monday 9th October

TIME: 5.00-6.30pm

PLACE: Christchurch Avon Club Rooms – Burnside High School

(access from Greers Rd beside tennis courts)

FEES: $110 per child ($90 for the 2nd and subsequent children in the family)

$65 for children in the Kiwisport Group – 5/6 yrs

Fees are payable following registration by internet banking

Note - Until payment has been received, the child’s registration is incomplete.

Our very popular Junior club fills up quickly – so it is recommended that all new members attend registration night on Monday 9th October to secure a place.

‘Dancing for the Youth Hub’ - Charity Dance Gala.16th September, 6pm at the Aurora Centre, Burnside High SchoolJoin us for an entertaining evening of dance brought to you by leading dance schools from around Christchurch. The performance will contain a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. All proceeds from the Gala will be donated to the new Youth Hub that is currently being built at 109 Salisbury St, Christchurch. The Youth Hub will provide everything young people need to improve and maintain their heath. It will deliver wrap-around services including mental health, medical, education, employment and training, recreation, creativity, social entrepreneurship and housing.
