Can You Help Support Our Year 8 Student Conference?

Kia ora e te whānau,

We’re excited to be running our Year 8 Student Conference again this year – a special Mana Ake initiative designed to support our ākonga as they prepare to transition to high school. This unique event will bring together around 140 students from across the Aupaki Kᾱhui Ako: Sumner, Redcliffs, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Heathcote Valley, Lyttelton, and Mt Pleasant Schools.

The conference will be held in Term 4 and includes inspirational speakers, student-led Q&A panels, and engaging wellbeing workshops focused on the theme:
"Wellbeing, Change, and Moving On to the Next Challenge."

To help make this a memorable and meaningful experience, we’re seeking sponsorship from our generous community. Could you or your business help?

We are looking for support in the following ways:

• Contributions towards conference costs and guest speakers

• Morning tea donations for our students

• Items for student conference bags, such as:
  – Reusable water bottles, stationery (notepads, pens, sticky notes)
  – Personal hygiene items (lip balm, deodorant)
  – Small treats (snack packs, chippies)
  – Fidget toys, discount vouchers, or wellbeing-related products
