Write On Creative Writing for Young Writers is an extension writing class for Year 4-8 students who are enthusiastic about writing.

All teachers from Write On School For Young Writers are writers as well as teachers, including Gail, our workshop teacher. She is widely published in journals and anthologies throughout Aotearoa and internationally. 

Workshops are no bigger than 12 children allowing Gail time to work one:one with editing and feedback. Workshops take place during one learning block, on a Monday.

In the words of a Year 6 student; "Gail pushes us with our writing more and challenges us to write more creatively. We get to write in our own style and use our imagination."

We subsidise the cost of these workshops but there is a small fee for parents to contribute. There is no obligation for children to do these workshops for a whole year as we ask for interest term-by-term.
