Reading, Writing, and Mathematics are taught across the year. In addition, other equally important learning areas in the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) are taught also, with topics changing termly. This article will give you insight into some of the key learning happening at HVS this year.

Other learning areas of the NZC include Science, The Arts, Health & Physical Education, Aotearoa NZ Histories, Social Sciences, and Technology.  

At primary school, it is vital that our students are exposed to a range of topics that provoke and extend their thinking, develop and expand their interests, and introduce them to new experiences and learning.
