Whāia te mātauranga, kia whai oranga ai.

Seek knowledge so that you may attain well-being.

Ko Bryony Bruce tōku ingoa.

I'm eagerly anticipating working at Te Tihi o Kahukura and connecting with you all. I'm a proud member of my whānau, with a lively bunch of tamariki – Josh, Mae, and Leo. They're passionate about sport, movies, dance and art, making our home a hub of creativity! My main goal is to foster success for all learners. I'm committed to engaging with ākonga on a level that resonates with them and discovering their passions. In my free time, I love participating in sports, exploring the great outdoors, delving into my whakapapa, and enjoying moments with my whānau and friends.

Kia ora Whānau/Caregivers!

I'm Callum Lawson, an outgoing and sporty individual who thrives on being outdoors. I have a deep passion for travel and immersing myself in diverse cultures, which I believe adds a unique perspective to my teaching. As a new educator, I am not only eager but genuinely excited to embark on this educational journey alongside your tamariki in 2024. My goal is to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where curiosity is sparked and a love for learning flourishes. I look forward to a year filled with growth, exploration, and shared adventures!

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Ko Rachel Ono tōku ingoa.

I was born in Christchurch,
I live under the shelter of the Port Hills,
My name is Rachel Ono.

I am excited to be joining the team as Deputy Principal of Te Kihi o Kahukura Heathcote Valley School. I look forward to meeting you all and hearing your ideas of what makes this kura a magical place. I am passionate about education and consider it a privilege to lead and learn alongside our tamariki and rangatahi.

When I am not at school, I enjoy walking our dog Olive in the hills, swimming, cooking Japanese food, or getting lost in a good book. I love spending quality time with my two teenage daughters and connecting with whānau and friends.

I look forward to getting to know your child as an individual - ‘Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia o tatou mahi’ Let the uniqueness of the child guide our work’.
