Kia ora whānau

It is great to see and feel the spring weather and be enjoying the lighter evenings.

It has been a long and complicated term. Our students and staff have coped well with the Covid requirements and being back together. Fortunately many events have been able to go ahead as you will see from the newsletter.

Congratulations to Kit Clarkson and our students for the outstanding amount raised for the 40 Hour Famine. This is a fantastic achievement.

Year 8 Market Day was another wonderful event. The creativity and collaboration between the students to produce such a wide range of useful products was outstanding. Students were very excited about this purposeful project that raised a large sum of money for a range of worthy causes. Well done to the Year 8 team of teachers and students.

We have begun the process of transitioning Year 6 students who are coming to Heaton next year. We have a very healthy roll number. Next term will see Year 6 parent/student interviews, an Information Evening and interviews with Year 6 teachers.

We all wish you a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday with your whānau and look forward to an awesome Term 4.

Ngā mihi
