Welcome to Tūrutu House

Kit Clarkson —

A Tūrutu House student update

Hi, our names are Joe and Emma,

We are in Tūrutu house, (blue) and we are very proud to be in it. Tūrutu is a species of blueberry in Māori, and it’s a violet-blue colour so it makes sense that our house colour is blue. Tūrutu is a tussock-like plant that is common in Christchurch/Otautahi.

Our house teachers are Mrs Clarkson (Room 9), Mr Colvin (Room 7) and Mrs Osborne (Room 19).

We are really enjoying our Specialist Subjects, which are currently Hard Materials and Science. The Year 7 house activities are happening next week. We are going Sailing and Orienteering. which we are really looking forward to as well.
