Raukawa House

Welcome to Raukawa (Elmwood) House and we are the green house. We are a Year 8 house consisting of Rooms 1, 4 and 6. Raukawa is an aromatic plant that Māhinārangi used for her perfume. Māhinārangi and her husband Tūrongo named their child Raukawa after the plant. It is one of the species identified in the cultural narrative of the area.

Our teachers are Jenny Halligan in Room 1, Nicci Christie in Room 4 and Adelaide Wilson in Room 6.

One thing that we have really enjoyed so far this year is Performing Arts. The activities we do are fun and we enjoyed learning about freeze frames.
