Recent alumni Kelli Brown brings a piece of rural Waikato to the Women's A-league of professional football.

Hamilton Girls' High School is very proud of Kelli's accomplishments in the New Zealand football arena. After humble beginnings in Ngāhinapōuri, she now lives the dream of professional football in the big smoke of Wellington.

A recent article in the New Zealand Herald speaks of Kelli's ascension from school football to representative teams, including NZ Secondary Schools Girls Football, NZ U17 Football (the Young Football Ferns) and NZ Women's U20 Football (the Junior Football Ferns) before Wellington Phoenix selection. Her aspirations are set on being part of the Football Ferns in the 2023 Fifa Women's World Cup squad.
