Whilst most students started the holidays off with a much deserved rest, Liarna Barber-Salvation Y11, Briez Tihi and Catea Duff both Y10, were mentally preparing themselves for the New Zealand Rugby League Youth Nationals.

This trio were representing the Upper Central Zone Under 16 team the Stallions.

With a very young team, captained by Liarna, it was always going to be tough going up against seasoned players. But the three girls did themselves proud, never gave up and along the way impressed many of the NZRL coaching staff.

Well done ladies, we know that there will be more opportunities for success along the way for you all.
