Premier Netballers Liza Ball, Kaiya Kepa and Marewa Samson were invited to attend the New Zealand Secondary School Talent Development Camp.

Netball NZ hold three regional camps throughout New Zealand. Athletes are put through their paces with fitness testing and match play, in order to be selected in the New Zealand Secondary School Squad in July.

85 athletes are selected for camp, and this will be reduced to a squad of 20 in July, and thereafter a team will be selected to compete in the Trans-Tasman tournament that includes Australian Secondary Schools and  Aotearoa Secondary Schools.

With approximately 40,000 registered Secondary School players, this is an outstanding achievement in itself.
